Safety, Allergies & Sensitivities

If you have allergies or sensitive skin, this page covers what you need to know.

IFRA compliance

All formulations comply with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards, which are the global benchmark for fragrance ingredient safety. These standards are based on toxicological research and updated regularly.

Our fragrances are developed with Mane, dsm-Firmenich, and Takasago, each of which runs its own safety testing on top of IFRA requirements.

Ingredient transparency

EU cosmetics regulation (EC No 1223/2009) requires that we list known allergens on packaging when they exceed specified concentration thresholds. These are listed on every product page and on the physical box.

Common allergens in our formulations: Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol, Citronellol, Coumarin, Eugenol, Citral, Benzyl Benzoate, among others depending on the fragrance.

If you need a complete INCI list for any specific fragrance, write to support@pramierepeau.com. We send it the same day.

Skin testing

If you have sensitive skin or known fragrance allergies:

  1. Apply a small amount to the inside of your wrist
  2. Wait 24 hours before broader application
  3. If irritation occurs, wash the area with mild soap and discontinue use

The Discovery Set exists partly for this reason: seven small-format samples that let you test each fragrance on your skin before buying a full bottle.

If you experience a reaction

  1. Stop using the fragrance
  2. Wash the area with mild soap and water
  3. See a dermatologist if irritation continues
  4. Write to support@pramierepeau.com. We will send you the full ingredient list and safety data for that formulation

Storage

Extrait de parfum is concentrated and alcohol-based. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep away from children. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes. For more, see How to Store Perfume.
