Leather Perfume

Leather perfume contains no leather. A good leather perfume is therefore a forgery, and the quality of the forgery is the whole art.

Simili Mirage is the Première Peau leather perfume, a 20 percent extrait de parfum by Claire Liégent. A faux leather that breathes: olibanum and sea salt over hot sand and Croatian immortelle, dry and saline, closer to sunburnt skin on a rocky coast than to a jacket. The copy outlives the original it cracked from.

Leather notes hold for a full day. The discovery set carries a 2 ml vial of Simili Mirage alongside the other six compositions.
